Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Our Facility Leads ensure that guests have a great experience because the facilities are in proper working order and so is our equipment used by our staff . They are responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs for their assigned facilities and equipment. The assigned facilities are throughout a district (listed below) and the tasks and repairs are related to the sites, restrooms, buildings, water systems, trees and vegetation, and other amenities (e.g. gates, signs, information boards, etc.). Tasks and repairs typically are in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.). The assigned equipment is that equipment used by staff throughout a district and the tasks and repairs are related to the vehicles, tools, and landscaping equipment. Tasks and repairs typically are in one or more fields (e.g. small engines, landscaping tools and equipment, golf carts, vehicle preventative maintenance, etc.). Facility Leads assist with preparing facilities to open at the beginning of the season, as well as shutting down facilities at the end of season. Small projects that replace or extend the life of a facility's asset will be as assigned.
Location This area is in the central part of West Virginia, east of the Appalachian Mountains in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Its within a day's drive heading west from Washington, D.C., or northwest from Richmond, VA and headed east from Charleston, WV. The well know Seneca Rocks are a landmark that may be familiar to many, this area surrounds that landmark. Other local references are Elkins, WV, this area is east of there surrounding Seneca Rocks, WV. For those interested this area includes the river valley, many of the regions highest peaks, Smoke Hole Canyon, and Seneca Rocks within the Monongahela National Forest.
