Construction Administrator

Bamforth Engineers Surveyors is seeking Construction Administration personnel that will assist engineers with managing tasks supporting construction primarily for federal and municipal clients. Willing to train the right candidate. Anticipated start date May 15th. Full or part time.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Reviewing design documents (plans and specifications) for constructability.
• Attending meetings for bid opening, preconstruction, partnering, and progress.
• Reviewing construction submittals for approval within the time allowed.
• Reviewing and responding to Contractor’s Request for Information (RFI) within the time allowed.
• Tracking construction submittals for large and small projects including coordination with subconsultants.
• Field investigations

Minimum Requirements:

• Completion or working on completion of Associate’s degree in engineering related field.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite – specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint; proficient with Adobe
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional; customer service attitude
• Organized, detailed, ability to multitask in a busy environment, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to be a team player and function independently.
• United States citizenship or permanent resident status required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to receive approval for access to Department of Defense (DoD) installations. Must be able to pass a background check. No drug use allowed.
• Ability to work outdoors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field of study preferred
• Experience in commercial/industrial construction for conducting constructability reviews of design documents.
• Proficient with Bluebeam software
• Proficient with eCMS or similar construction management software.
• Applicable internship and/or work experience.
• Preference given to local candidates.
