Land Surveyors Supervisor jobs in Oxnard, CA
Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Land Surveyors Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

RRM Design Group is currently seeking an RRMer to join us as a full-time Licensed Land Surveyor on our Surveying team. Our growing firm is looking for an individual who is eager to be part of a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team that offers a great balance of professional fulfillment and fun.
YOUR ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
- Perform calculations for construction projects (e.g., rough grade, sewer, water, curb, and building stakes)
- Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines and clients on various projects
- Provide mentoring to the office and field crew members.
- Prepare maps using Civil3D
- Other duties typical of a Licensed Land Surveyor
- Working in a team environment
Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
- A minimum of six (6) years of work experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or related field experience
- Strong communication skills
- Enjoy working in a collaborative environment
- California Professional Land Surveyor’s license
- Familiarity with state and county mapping requirements
- Strong computer skills with CAD and Land Surveying software, such as Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
