Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. The Columbia Land Conservancy is currently hiring a seasonal Public Lands Assistant. The successful candidate will work as part of a team that makes CLC’s Public Conservation Areas safer and accessible to more people and assists with protecting and restoring ecological resources on CLC-owned and managed lands. This is a seasonal term position of 34 weeks, with the possibility of an extension. This is a full-time, 35-hour/week position, $19.50/hour, paid holidays, eight paid days off, housing not provided.
