Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. As a Landscape Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting with various landscaping tasks to ensure the maintenance and beautification of outdoor spaces.
Duties:
- Perform mowing, trimming, and edging of lawns using manual or mechanical tools
- Assist with tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and appearance of trees
- Dig holes, trenches, and ditches for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Provide general lawn care including watering, fertilizing, and weeding
- Help build and install landscape features such as retaining walls, pathways, and fences
- Assist with the installation of irrigation systems and ensure proper functioning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping or related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques and practices
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Skills:
- Proficient in mowing lawns using both manual and mechanical tools
- Knowledge of various hand tools for landscaping tasks such as pruning shears, shovels, rakes, etc.
- Experience with tree trimming techniques to maintain tree health and aesthetics
- Ability to dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including watering, fertilizing, and weeding
- Basic construction skills for building landscape features like retaining walls or pathways
- Understanding of irrigation systems installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of garden maintenance tasks such as mulching or composting
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
