Bruce Dees & Associates is an award-winning landscape architecture firm in Tacoma, WA. Since our founding in 1983, we have been committed to environmental stewardship and developing public parks and open spaces that benefit our communities and enhance access to nature. Over the years, we’ve worked on many well-known athletic facilities, waterfront parks, interpretive wetlands, and trails around the Puget Sound.

Our firm is seeking a licensed landscape architect who approaches each project in a proactive, enthusiastic manner with a strong desire to learn and grow in a collaborative atmosphere. You will lead both design and document production through all project phases including construction administration.

We are a small firm focused on creating high-quality public open spaces where we work and live. We are seeking a long-term hire to become an integral and valued member of the firm. Our team is especially interested in applicants that are ready to grow their role within the firm and make an impact to the profession.

Job Requirements:

• Professional Degree: Bachelor in Landscape Architecture
• Licensure: Landscape Architect
• Minimum t to 10 years of professional experience in a Landscape Architecture design firm
• Experience in public park, trails, athletic fields, and/or waterfront spaces
• Excellence in design, quality of work, and client service
• Proficient in Office and Adobe Suites, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
• Strong graphic, rendering, marketing, and presentation skills
• Effective writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and subconsultants
• Experience with permitting and construction administration
• Licensure in Washington State or ability to gain reciprocal licensure within 6 months of employment is required

Benefits:

BDA offers competitive wages based on skills and experience. Our benefits package includes vacation, sick leave, 10 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, 401k, continuing education, and partial licensure reimbursement. Salary range for this position is $60k to $90k, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
