Seeking a Landscape Architect / Land Planner to join the Planning Division of our Fairfax, Virginia office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on a wide range of large and small projects including residential, mixed use, commercial and institutional.

The position requires a self-starter with 3-5 years of experience in planning, layout and grading design for conceptual plans, landscape design, preliminary plans, rezoning plans, site plans etc. This position requires working collaboratively with co-workers in various departments to develop design drawings, environmental assessments of sites and preparation of these plans for submission and approval by the various jurisdictions and agencies. The position will include regular meetings with the clients and agencies and an understanding of development design, and the review and approval processes within the various local agencies is necessary.

The applicant will work in a team environment with other Landscape Architects, Engineers, Surveyors and CADD technicians. We are looking for an applicant that is interested in career growth as well as participation in organizations and activities related to the industry.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in Landscape Architecture or Land Planning.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an engineering, planning or landscape architectural office.

Autodesk Civil 3D experience

Graphic design presentation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience with Photoshop, Sketch-Up, or similar preferred
