Landscape Architect Manager supervises all related activities of a staff of landscape architects and technicians. Oversees, manages, and schedules the development of exterior spaces and physical environments, the development of schematic designs and construction details, and is ultimately responsible for final project. Being a Landscape Architect Manager requires a bachelor's degree in a related field. Typically reports to a top management. The Landscape Architect Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Landscape Architect Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC) is seeking a licensed Landscape Architect with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program with 5-10 or more years of experience. This individual will be responsible for collaboration of project design on a wide range of large and small projects with a particular emphasis on sustainable design practices. CEC is looking for a self-starter who is motivated to join our team and collaborate with in-house civil engineers, ecologists, and land surveyors to assist our clients in the development of private and public sector projects.  As a part of the CEC team, the candidate will follow our Do, Manage, Market, Lead (DMML) Professional Development Model.  This model allows the candidate to grow technically, understand the dynamics of project management, hone their networking skills to develop a client list and lead the efforts developing projects.  Opportunities are abound at CEC.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Landscape design
    • Master planning
    • Public presentations of projects
    • Site layout and grading
    • Site plan renderings
    • Project Management
    • CAD design
    • Quality control review of proposed plans
    • Preparation of bid documents/submittal documents
    • Review and preparation of specifications
    • Networking and Client Development

    Qualifications

    • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture or related degree required;
    • Knowledge and experience in parks and greenway projects;
    • Knowledge and experience in sustainable design practices;
    • AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred);
    • InDesign;
    • PhotoShop (Adobe Suite);
    • Lumion;
    • GIS (ArcView) – not required but beneficial;
    • Verbal and writing communication skills.
