Purpose and Description

The Landscape Production Manager schedules and directs personnel and resources towards providing quality, cost-effective design / build services to clients. They will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of projects.

Essential Functions

• Manage all landscape design / build functions, including the coordination of all material, people, equipment and subcontractors required to produce quality work.
• Creates production schedules and communicates timelines of when work is to be completed to Sales Executives.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• The Landscape Production Manager will be responsible for training and developing these individuals and providing day-to-day operational scheduling and guidance
• Select tools, materials, and equipment and track inventory
• Maintain and manage all required administrative systems.
• Review the work progress on daily basis
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
• Follow up with clientele after or during the work process to full fill customer demands or expectations are met.
• Hands-on training and support of crew members, including proper operation of equipment, safety, and quality standards.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
• Maintain excellent on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and/or subcontractors
• Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
• Meet contractual conditions of performance
• Responsible for proper use and enforcement of PPE.
• Safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in similar industry role or a minimum of 7 years landscape installation experience and leadership skills.
• Two- or Four-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent field experience required
• Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods and the ability to plan and see “big picture”.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn and utilize company software and applications effectively.
• LIC certification
• Valid Ohio Driver’s license with the ability to meet company insurance requirements
• Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) or the desire to obtain one
• Basic understanding of common irrigation systems
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings
• Experience in using all types of landscape equipment
• Superior leadership, time management, organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with management, team leaders, team members, and clientele.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and demeanor

Supervision

Directly supervises 3 – 4 landscape team leaders, and indirectly supervises 6 – 8 team members. Responsible for employment, performance management, training and development.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

Must be able to utilize applicable tools and equipment necessary for the job, as well as basic computer / office equipment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, sit; talk; and hear. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and up to 70 pounds occasionally. The work environment is outside, exposed to varied weather conditions on a regular basis.
