Since 1998, Boulder Falls Landscape has been delighting clients with exceptional landscape solutions. The company is seeking an experienced maintenance manager to join our staff. The Landscape Maintenance Manager is accountable for managing the maintenance department. This person is responsible for hiring and developing employees. The manager will do quotes and sales for the company. There will be commissions on new accounts. This position involves account management of multiple residential and commercial clients. The required hours will be 40 hours/week. The total compensation will include base salary, commissions (no cap), and an annual bonus (no cap).
Responsibilities:
Direct management of maintenance department employees
Manage sales process (quoting and closing sales)
Serve as account manager for all maintenance clients
Perform work requiring the use of hand tools, power tools, and mowing equipment
Train others on proper pruning and managing weeds, insects and plant diseases
Working with irrigation systems (troubleshooting, repairing and programming systems)
Safely operate company vehicles and issued equipment
Complete daily work orders and necessary paperwork
Creating and optimizing maintenance routes
Hiring and developing employees
Requirements:
4 years of landscape maintenance experience (manager or supervisor)
Must have a valid driver's license for daily operation of a company vehicle
Previous sales experience
Previous experience with account management
Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing approximately 50 pounds
Skilled in plant identification
Excellent understanding of proper pruning practices
Working knowledge of techniques to manage weeds, insects, and plant diseases
Experience programming irrigation controllers and troubleshooting irrigation systems
Must have strong skills in speaking and writing in English
Very professional attitude (with employees and clients)
Desired (not required):
5 or more years experience as a landscape maintenance supervisor or crew leader
Fluent in both English and Spanish
Two years of direct people management experience
Two years of sales quota responsibility
Very skilled and comfortable with selling to residential and commercial clients
Experience with snow removal
