Oversees, manages, and schedules the development of exterior spaces and physical environments, the development of schematic designs and construction details, and is ultimately responsible for final project. Being a Landscape Architect Manager requires a bachelor's degree in a related field. Typically reports to a top management. The Landscape Architect Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Landscape Architect Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Our work spans from luxury destination resorts and master planning to prominent public spaces, urban mixed-use developments, and high-end residential projects.

    Our team works out of a beautifully renovated, historic building in Bend's downtown hub, enjoys a work-hard-play-hard mentality, is passionate about design, and has been known to enjoy occasional powder-days at Mt. Bachelor. With world-class skiing and mountain biking, abundant lakes and rivers, a seemingly endless amount of hiking trails, and sunny high desert weather, Central Oregon is truly a wonderful place to call home.

    Candidates should have a passion for design and problem solving, be proactive and conduct themselves with a sense of personal responsibility, work well in a collaborative team environment, and possess a portfolio that demonstrates strong design and communication skills.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • general project management for a variety of project types

    • developing design concepts in collaboration with studio leaders

    • preparing comprehensive construction documentation packages

    • construction administration

    • work with a sense of energy, passion, personal responsibility, and thrive in a small to medium-sized office environment.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor or Master Degree of Landscape Architecture from an accredited university

    • 5 years of experience in a professional landscape architectural office

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Microsoft Office software

    • Proficiency in Lumion a plus

    • Professional licensure a plus


    Compensation

    Salary offers will be commensurate with abilities and experience. SZABO offers competitive benefits including: fully paid health and dental insurance, retirement program, paid holidays, vacations, and bonuses. We arrange our schedule to work half-day Fridays.
