Job Title: Housekeeping Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including scheduling, staffing, and training of housekeeping staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established standards.
- Manage inventory and ordering of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and linens.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Maintenance, to ensure efficient communication and coordination of tasks.
- Monitor and maintain the department's budget, controlling costs and expenses effectively.
- Handle guest feedback and requests promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to cleaning protocols.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Identify training needs and organize training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the housekeeping team.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in housekeeping management, and incorporate innovative approaches when applicable.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors, ensuring quality and timely completion of projects.
- Prepare reports, such as occupancy rates, budget variance, and maintenance issues, for review by senior management.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and attention to detail within the housekeeping department
