Now Hiring: Housekeeping Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including scheduling, staffing, and training of housekeeping staff.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established standards.
• Manage inventory and ordering of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and linens.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Maintenance, to ensure efficient communication and coordination of tasks.
• Monitor and maintain the department's budget, controlling costs and expenses effectively.
• Handle guest feedback and requests promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to cleaning protocols.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment.
• Identify training needs and organize training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the housekeeping team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in housekeeping management, and incorporate innovative approaches when applicable.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors, ensuring quality and timely completion of projects.
• Prepare reports, such as occupancy rates, budget variance, and maintenance issues, for review by senior management.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and attention to detail within the housekeeping department

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have experience working in a long term care facility
• 2-3 years experience as a Housekeeper
