The Ideal Candidate:
The Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an energetic, organized and strong multi-tasking abilities to Supervise our Housekeeping/Laundry Department. The Supervisors should understand and comply with OSHA, CMS and State regulations for nursing homes. Candidates will be required to work in all areas of the housekeeping or laundry department as needed. Applicants should feel comfortable with management and be able to hire, terminate or discipline staff. This position will report to the Administrator. You may be asked to help in other areas of the building as needed for the optimal performance of the building/department and the well-being of our residents.

Essential Job Functions: must be able to perform the following essential functions as demonstrated by the ability to:

Supervise receiving and storage of linens and supplies.

Complete Housekeeping and Laundry duties, as needed.

Prepare documentation and cleaning schedules.

Plan and conduct in-service training programs.

Cover open shifts or absences of staff, as needed.

Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.

Assure proper care and use of housekeeping/laundry equipment.

Prevent the spread of infection through proper handling, storage, washing and transporting of all garments and linens.

Keep MSDS book updated with all new chemicals of housekeeping and laundry departments.

Performs daily rounds to ensure a healthy, clean safe environment is maintained at all times.

Responsible for ensuring proper safety measures are used when housekeeping/laundry duties are being performed (e.g. wet floor signs, chemicals are secure and labeled, etc.)

Supervise proper labeling and handling of all resident’s clothing.

Perform, oversee and schedule all floor care procedures.

Comply with state, federal and OSHA regulations.

Comply with all facility policies and procedures.

Ensures all state and federal guidelines are met.

Job Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED

2 Years’ Experience in Housekeeping/Laundry in Healthcare Setting

Supervisory Experience Preferred

Knowledge/Understanding of CMS/State and OSHA Regulations
