Laundry Aide - Optalis Healthcare and Rehab Center- Canton

Job Description:

The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring that all laundry is cleaned, folded, and distributed to the appropriate areas. The Laundry Aide will work closely with the housekeeping staff to ensure that all linens and towels are cleaned and available for use. The Laundry Aide will also be responsible for maintaining the laundry room and equipment, ensuring that all machines are in good working order and that the laundry room is clean and organized.

Responsibilities:

• Sort and wash all laundry, including linens and towels
• Dry and fold all laundry
• Distribute clean laundry to the appropriate areas
• Maintain the laundry room and equipment
• Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate staff member
• Ensure that the laundry room is clean and organized at all times
• Assist housekeeping staff with other duties as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in laundry services preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Excellent communication skills
