    What are we looking for in a Clinical Licensure Supervisor?

    This is a unique opportunity for an experienced clinical social worker to move away from direct treatment provision while still remaining engaged in the mental health field and supporting & mentoring clinicians. The primary responsibility of the Clinical Licensure Supervisor is to support early career mental health counselors and clinical social workers as they practice and refine their therapy skills and accumulate supervised hours toward independent licensure. Working in collaboration with but separately from each clinician’s work supervisor, the Clinical Licensure Supervisor focuses on building strong clinical skills, good judgment, quality treatment plans and notes, and adherence to organizational and legal requirements. In addition to providing supervision toward clinical licensure, this position will also assist with training new and existing staff, including identifying clinicians with skill gaps and developing strategies to build those skills, as well as supporting staff who are onboarding into clinical positions. The Clinical Licensure Supervisor will supervise clinicians from all Comprehensive Healthcare campuses, so this role will require both virtual meetings and travel within our service area. This position will work on-site in our Yakima outpatient clinic and will be part of our Quality Assurance & Improvement team.

    Clinical Licensure Supervisor duties may include:

    • providing individual and group supervision to master’s-level clinicians who are working toward independent licensure, both in-person and virtually
    • reviewing case notes, treatment plans, and assessments to provide feedback to clinicians on the course of treatment and quality of documentation
    • identifying skill competency issues and professional development needs and working with the clinician’s supervisor to address these concerns
    • coordinating with supervisors regarding performance concerns and contributing to 90-day, introductory, and annual reviews
    • developing and facilitating clinical trainings for new or current staff 
    • facilitating behavioral health-related trainings for community partners 

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in social work
    • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State
    • Must meet all standards for approved supervisors as defined in WAC 246-809-334
    • Two years of post-licensure experience as a direct treatment provider
    • Prior experience providing clinical supervision
    • Prior experience providing treatment within a community mental health setting
    • Driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a minimum of two years of safe driving experience
