Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Laundry and Drycleaning Machine Operator/Tender relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. JOB SUMMARY:
To collect soiled linen throughout the facility. To wash, dry, fold and redistribute clean linen. Caution should be taken in handling soiled linen to insure no blood borne pathogens are contaminating other linen. Keep washing and drying machines in good operating condition as per manufactures recommendations, limited to every day cleaning, not mechanical repair. Assure an adequate supply of linen in both front and back linen closets. Notify administrator or director of nursing of the need for replacement linen. Wash and dry resident's personal clothing, taking care of directions for cleaning on garment. Bring personal clothes to resident's rooms. Keeps laundry neat and orderly, assuring separation of clean and dirty linen.
