Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of all linens and guest laundry.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and guest laundry
- Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
- Inspect linens for stains or damages and report any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing laundry chemicals
- Assist with inventory management by keeping track of linen supplies
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of proper laundry procedures, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads.
-Lift up to 50 lbs – for example lifting clothing from the counter to the laundry cart.
-Reach overhead – for example to access the top cavity of a stack dryer, or problem-shoot a TV.
-Bend down – for example to vacuum the bottom lint tray of a stack dryer.
