Laundry and Drycleaning Machine Operator/Tender jobs in Poughkeepsie, NY

We are looking for long term people to work at a busy laundromat located in main street. We process roughly 2000lbs of laundry per week and you would be expected to work alone or in a team to process the laundry in an efficient timely manor while also maintaining responsibilities listed below. Pay is $15 an hour to start with training and once training is complete you will earn $17 an hour with yearly increases depending on performance. This work also receives tips from various customers.

Current open positions are Monday Tuesday and Wednesday between 12pm and 7pm

Responsibilities

• Wash dry and fold laundry
• inventory managements
• Answering phone calls
• Cleaning and maintaining laundromat
• taking phone orders for delivery service
• Processing dry cleaning

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Able to stand on your feet for up to 6 hours at a time
• Able to lift heavy bags of laundry up to 80 lb
