Laundry and Drycleaning Machine Operator/Tender jobs in Saint Louis, MO

We are seeking a Grinder/Machine Operator to join our team. This is a great position to start your career in the machining field with room for advancement!

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating and maintaining various types of grinding equipment. As a Grinder/Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining grinding machine to produce high-quality products to customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate grinding machines
• Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure they meet customer specifications
• Adjust machine controls to regulate coolant flow and grinding wheel speed
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines and products as they arise
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment to ensure it operates efficiently
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company procedures and regulations
• Meet production goals and deadlines as established by the supervisor
• Other job duties as necessary

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating grinding machines in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
