Lead Construction Representative jobs in Idaho Falls, ID

Lead Construction Management Representative (CMR) Qualifications.

(1) 4 year Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or other related field from an ABET accredited engineering college or university with a minimum of 4 or more years of relevant construction/engineering work experience.

(2) Knowledge of and experience with construction practices including: reading and enforcing adherence to plans and specifications, construction contracts, applicable building codes, construction estimating, construction scheduling, engineering design, Quality Assurance/Construction Inspections, managing and overseeing the work of other CMR employees.

(3) Must be capable of producing technical documents including producing meeting minutes, writing scopes of work, and writing technical memos regarding construction and engineering topics.

(4) Ability to supervise the work of construction contractors including reviewing construction schedules, labor, and coordination to meet the needs of the project.

(5) Prior experience working with Government Project Managers/ CORs on processing change requests, requests for information, submittals and field observation reports.

(6) Prior experience with security protection measures required by Government agencies.

(7) Knowledge of construction computer programs such as Primavera Project Planner (P3) Schedules, RMS or other construction estimating software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and the Internet for the transmission of digitally processed photos and administrative communications.

(8) Ability to work in a highly visible location incorporating site safety and safety of the public and minimize construction related adverse impacts to natural and cultural resources.

(9) People and communication skills - Ability to represent the interests of the Government in a professional manner and ensure quality of work while maintaining good relationships with contractor, as well as, park staff.

(10) Ability to work in remote locations with limited logistics and communications.

(11) Ability to work in harsh and variable weather conditions including the potential for working in remote locations during the winter which may require the use of over-snow vehicles (snow coach/snow mobiles) and extended periods outdoors in the interior of Yellowstone during inclement weather.

(12) Knowledge of and experience with Environmental and Cultural Resources and compliance related to construction activities including familiarity with the requirements of WYDEQ.

(13) 8 years of experience in Engineering/Construction related positions.

(14) OSHA Certificate.

NOTE: Security clearance for specific projects is unlikely but may be required.
