    Position PurposeResponsible for developing and leading a cross-functional team in the development of any large-contract new products that meet customer specifications. Responsible for overall program success in terms of budget, schedule, and technical performance.

    In coordinating large production contracts, the Program Manager is responsible for working with Sales and customers, and the General Manager to ensure that the plant has the necessary customer perspective to support providing the best possible customer experience. This includes working with Engineering and the Production Team to develop and modify production plans based on customer needs and internal capabilities to support those needs.

    ORGANIZATION FIT This position reports to the General Manager. This position may also interact with sales, quality, and engineering.

    Essential Functions

    • Manages the program to ensure that all disciplines are delivering as needed, such as having enough human resources, on-time delivery of materials, and all work orders launched for proper manufacturing through the production process.
    • Works cross functionally to ensure that the plant understands all specifications required for the successful preparation and production of deliverables and to identify any potential risks as early as possible and facilitate the cross-functional development of work-around plans so that customer expectations can be met (i.e. shipping requirements, build specifications).
    • Helps to develop and oversee the assembly order of operations involved to build complex products. Works with cross-functional management team to set expectations, quality checkpoints, and ensure that process flow and documentation sets the program up for success.
    • Supervises changes or alterations that are made to manufacturing documentation packages throughout the duration of the program and ensure that the manufacturing team understands and incorporates this in the build process. Assist with building out work instructions as needed.
    • Ensure the program meets quality and labor efficiency goals; monitor manufacturing build times and problem-solve and process or people inefficiencies to maximize output success.
    • Drives the cross-functional teams to be prepared and organized for third-party inspections.
    • Provides strategic guidance to the company's managers about program oversight, facilitating communication among a program's cross-functional team.
    • Drives for excellence, keeps teams informed of the customer expectations.
    • Ensures the production team is properly following work instructions, quality procedures during the build of the program and if any deviations, brings issues and solutions to production management.
    • Provide leadership within the program and across the company where appropriate.
    • Communicate problems and challenges and celebrate successes; help to recognize the program’s success.

    Salary: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
