1.0 Job Summary
The Lean Manager will orchestrate the internal resources of Borgers Ohio to ensure that cost savings opportunities are investigated and implemented in order to maximize profit on existing and new programs. The Lean Manager shall ensure that suggestions for improvement, lessons learned, and specific requirements of the plant are communicated to the team. The Lean Manager works with production in order to assure data transparency by implementing visual shop floor management. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager.
2.0 Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manager supports the Lean Coordinators regarding the definition of an optimal routing, and production layout
· Support day to day operations on the plant manufacturing floor to insure processes are robust and lean
· Ensures that cost savings opportunities are investigated and implemented in order to maximize profit on existing and new programs
· Use proper escalation to solicit management support for any team member not delivering on expectations
· Meet with the supervisor/manager of the area to get help securing the deliverable
· Ability to participate in group meetings whenever deemed necessary
· Track on an open issues list
· Track risks and opportunities
· Determine resource requirements necessary to complete projects and solve open issues
· Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop manufacturing concept
· Present manufacturing concept to cross functional management team for approval to proceed
· Ensure full respect of the HSE rules and regulations
· Participation in the realization of prototypes and pre-series production for the early detection of potential risks and use of process improvement potential
· Active participation in the transfer of lessons learned and Kaizen results in the manufacturing standards and the FMEA
· Ability to support sister plant – Duncan

· 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with experience as a member of a cross functional team
· Lean Manufacturing Experience
· Engineering Degree

· Authorization to work and reside in the United States

· 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses)
· Normal hearing ability (with or without corrective device)
· Ability to lift and carry items for short distances:
