Due to growth, we are seeking a Plant Manager for a newly created position. The Plant Manager we seek will lead the plant operations of our metal fabrication facility with a focus on Production Management, Quality Assurance, Team Leadership and Accountability, and Strategic Planning/Implementation. In this position, success is defined by team scorecards, metrics, active listening, inspiration, and fostering innovation. Position Responsibilities include:
-Oversee production, shipping, tool room, quality and maintenance to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality product delivery while adhering to schedules and prioritizing employee safety and high standards
-Implement industry best practices for enhanced efficiency and timely project completion
-Implement and enforce quality control measures, aiming to meet or surpass industry standards, while overseeing a Quality Management System to track and improve product quality and production processes based on defects per unit data.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments, providing regular updates on performance metrics
- In collaboration with direct reports, define team lead metrics, and manage to those metrics
- Contribute to goal setting and achievement by participating in weekly leadership team meetings, and quarterly and annual strategic planning meetings
- Embrace a leadership approach focused on fostering personal and professional development, cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Design and implement training programs to enhance skills, and facilitate regular feedback sessions
-Champion a culture of continuous improvement, staying informed about industry trends and leading the prioritization of projects to ensure a competitive advantage and meet return on investment standards.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of 7 years in manufacturing and operations leadership roles, and a Bachelor's Degree (preferred). Excellent candidates will have experience and have contributed to leading a growing organization in a role with a focus on driving culture, accountability, and goal setting. Hands-on experience leading and strategizing in the functional areas of the role, required.
