Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Specialist also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Lean Manufacturing Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. TNA is currently looking for an Electrician in the Facility Operations area of our Plant Engineering and Maintenance Department.
Our vision for this position is to provide support for the installation, maintenance, and performance monitoring of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Installs, maintains, and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement, including conduit
Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments
Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques
Repairs and maintains electrical systems and minor mechanical systems
Plans electrical system additions or modifications
May perform work of lower level electricians
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as directed by management
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES
Minimum High School diploma
At least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Journeyman Electrician license
Understanding of electrical distribution systems
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and other electrical diagrams
Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliances
Ablility to lift 50 lbs
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical controls, industrial motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
Ability to install and maintain motors, welding equipment, lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and transformers as appropriate to the position
Project planning, schedule and cost estimation
Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations

EPA Universal Technician
Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems
