Lean Manufacturing Specialist assists with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Specialist also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Lean Manufacturing Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     We are a privately-held independent metal fabrication company that produces components used in a wide range of industries. Our goal is to provide products and services that meet our customers’ needs in a timely fashion with the highest level of quality and value.

    Our capabilities are constantly expanding and currently include metal stamping, laser cutting, brake forming, tubular stamped components, CNC and Swiss machined parts, wire forms, thread rolling, weldments, and integrated assemblies. Our modern facility includes a complete in-house tool and die department and fastener distributorship.


    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    1st shift:   Monday through Friday 7am-3pm

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Operate and adjust tubular product line presses.
    • Set-up tubular product line presses.  Select the correct tooling for the job task with set-up documents and supervisor assistance.
    • Verify and document quality of production process.
    • Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues.
    • Team player with a positive, “can do” attitude.
    • Strong work ethic.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Ability to use basic dimensional measuring tools.
    • Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Desire to learn new skills and improve every day.

    THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:
    • Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of metal manufacturing.
    • Previous experience operating mechanical punch presses.
    • A certificate from college or technical school.
