Technical Services Specialist I

Alternative Manufacturing is seeking a Technical Services Specialist I to be based in their Winthrop Maine facility. This position is a learning opportunity to work as a key member of the technical services team, who serve as the technical liaison between the customer and their internal production operation.
Requirements of the Technical Services Specialist I:
· High School Diploma/GED. Some postsecondary education preferred but not required (may be substituted by work experience)
· Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
· Experience in using calipers for measuring
· Experience working with a computer-based ERP/MRP system and CAD system
· Ability to read, understand and work with bills of materials, and technical drawings.
· Experience working with Photoshop or equivalent photo software
· Ability to understand how programming of equipment works, X, Y and Z axis. (similar to a CNC OR 3D printer)
· Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 3:30pm and Friday 7:00am to 11:00am or Monday through Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities of the Technical Services Specialist I:
· Develop product specific process packages for each required area
· Provide support in administrating and executing the company’s Change Notice and ECO process
· Participate in value engineering activities to eliminate waste while producing our customer’s product
· Participate in evaluations and assessments to identify corrective actions as required
· Engage in regular and routine communication with customers and internal support functions
