VBM is seeking a person with experience as a manufacturing specialist who will also support process transfer, implementation and training for cellular product manufacturing with human primary T-cells.
The ideal candidate will possess the technical experience to evaluate process deviations and investigations, and a thorough understanding of the quality systems used in support of GMP operations.
In addition, prior experience in cellular product manufacturing will be useful to support tech transfer and operator training in related processes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or relevant field with at least 3 year Biotech / Pharma bioprocess experience in a cGMP setting.
Detailed understanding of common bioprocessing operations ideally both upstream and downstream.
Thorough understanding of quality systems used in support of GMP operations
Experience with single-use systems and materials is beneficial
Experience isolating and processing primary T cells a benefit
Working knowledge of flow cytometry methods beneficial
Excellent written and verbal communications required
Prior experience in technical training of others beneficial
Physical Requirements
Ability to move 50 lbs. required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance.
Must be able to perform repetitive motion activities during working hours.
