 Account Receivable Specialist Essential Job Functions:

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
• Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments.
• Find and contact debtors to arrange debt payoffs, drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, and follow-up as necessary.
• Resolve billing, customer credit issues, and customer discrepancies.
• Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
• Assists in generating monthly billing statements.
• Research and implement effective collection techniques.
• Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

 Account Receivable Specialist Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education & Experience:

• High School Graduate or equivalent. Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years of accounting and collections experience required.
• Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay range: From $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr
