The Process Specialist assists the Team Leader and Production Manager in effectively leading people within the department to complete work with the highest possible efficiency and quality. This position will ensure all associates understand production requirements and inform production supervisor and/or plant manager of any barriers to accomplish the goals. Daily activities include, but are not limited to, meeting manufacturing targets for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and 6S for the area. This role assists in manufacturing and is also a back-up resource for key processes.

Meet production and quality goals by effectively managing Helix processes and schedules. Ship product on-time to promise date.

Keep fabrication cells loaded and running efficiently using tools like Theory of Constraints.

Supply Chassis Assembly with parts. Move finished chassis and seats to warehouse. Make correct inventory adjustments upon moving parts.

Actively manage shop floor throughout the day. Help Team Leader create schedules / expectations for each area or cell; assist Team Leader in holding each team member accountable for meeting daily goals.

Requirements

Duties

• Specific technical experience is not immediately necessary but could be learned on the job.
• Must be a manufacturing-oriented person (comfortable around manufacturing).
• Must be comfortable around metal manufacturing and assembly.
• Ability to read and correctly interpret engineering drawings and bills of material.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to use a computer / tech savvy
• Willingness to do hands-on work within a team environment
• Social and supervisory skills are a plus.
• Assess what is needed each day and proactively direct people to meet expectations.
• High-energy, task-oriented, and get-it done mentality.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure all associates work safely and report concerns to management.
• Ensure associates have proper equipment (including PPE) to perform work duties.
• Achieve production goals.
• Ensure work areas are clean and organized to 6S (hold each team member accountable for his respective area).
• Ensure highest quality product is delivered to customer.
