The Analyst will support the timely and accurate production of reports, data management, and PowerPoint presentations for Broadstone’s Underwriting & Strategy team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills as well as be proficient in Microsoft Office; have excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills; be able to communicate and work well with internal clients at all levels; and possess a desire to advance one’s and others’ knowledge through data analysis. This position reports to the Manager, Underwriting & Research.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the property analysis, market analysis, and industry research functions within the Underwriting & Strategy team
• Prepare lease and sale comparable reports for existing and prospective properties
• Prepare research reports on both a Real Estate and Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) level
• Project long-term leasing outcomes for both existing and prospective properties
• Maintain and leverage various real estate databases/program (CoStar, Placer.ai, etc.) to assist in buy/hold/sell decisions
• Assist with the preparation of presentations to be included in Investment/Portfolio Review Committee Meetings
• Develop and maintain an understanding of different property-types targeted in the net lease space to inform decision making
• Interface closely with Acquisitions, Portfolio Management, and Credit Risk team members to support Investment/Portfolio Review Committee processes
• Coordinate data migration into multiple reporting systems and check data accuracy between various sources
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner
• Execute duties and maintain standards in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Assume additional duties as required
• Overtime hours may be required as job duties demand

Skills/Qualifications:

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis with the ability to apply data management skills to complex business situations
• Ability to conduct industry research on a macro and micro level
• Strong attention to detail on written work product
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present data and findings
• Effective decision-making skills and an ability to perform under deadline pressure
• Solid work ethic and a professional, proactive, and positive approach to work
• Able to prioritize and work on multiple analytical projects and follow through in a timely manner
• Work well independently and in a team; self-starter, but not hesitant to ask for direction as needed

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Real Estate, or relevant subject matter required
• Up to 2 years of experience in a business setting/analyst role
• Interest in or desire to learn more about real estate or net lease industry required

Environment and Physical Demands:

• Professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machine; noise level typical of a standard office environment
• Prolonged sitting, computer and telephone use, as well as standing, filing, stooping, bending, reaching and lifting, and carrying up to 15 pounds
• Ability to travel by plane, train, and automobile and operate a motor vehicle

The base salary range for this role is: $50,000 - $63,000. This range is Broadstone’s good faith estimate of the annual base salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skillset, relevant education & certifications, job-related knowledge, location, and other relevant factors identified through the recruitment & selection process.
