Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leasing Manager to join our team. The Leasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the leasing process, from marketing and showing available units to negotiating lease agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective leasing strategies to attract and retain tenants
- Market available units through various channels, such as online listings, signage, and advertising
- Conduct property tours for prospective tenants and provide detailed information about the property and its amenities
- Screen potential tenants by reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying income and rental history
- Negotiate lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations throughout the leasing process
- Coordinate move-in and move-out procedures, including conducting inspections and collecting security deposits
- Address tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, tenant interactions, and financial transactions
Experience:
- Previous experience in property management or leasing is required
- Strong knowledge of leasing practices, procedures, and legal requirements
- Familiarity with facilities management principles is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry software
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable lease agreements
- Strong sales abilities to effectively market available units
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance throughout the leasing process
- Proficient in office administration tasks such as record keeping, data entry, and correspondence
- Understanding of property management principles to effectively manage tenant relationships
