Overview:

CopyCat is looking for an eager Research Specialist in our Coral Springs, Florida office location.

Candidates should preferably have a minimum of 1-3 years of law firm experience in any area. Experience with court documents and research is preferred. Candidates will have the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by our managing partners.

In addition, candidates should be interested in working in a fast paced and collaborative environment.

Principal Duties Include:

• Research and gather possible infringements for attorney review
• Prepare and send out demand letters to infringers
• Maintain document management system for assigned cases
• Manage tasks and deadlines for each assigned case
• Update case management software as needed daily
• Communicate daily with attorneys on case status and tasks
• Record case expenses for tracking
• Negotiate settlements
• Prepare settlement agreements for attorney review
• Provide accurate and timely updates to clients
• Schedule meetings as requested
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superb organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
