SECRETARY

DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary-Court Services (Juvenile)

HIRING RANGE $19.73-$21.92/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: 36 hours/week

LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Within County (please complete driving page on application)

JOB SUMMARY:

Providing secretarial, clerical and receptionist duties in support of the department under moderate supervision; this position may also assist in gathering information from the courts and be tasked with a variety of complex and/or difficult assignments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· High school graduate or equivalent

· 2 years in a secretarial capacity

· Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

· Excellent organizational and communications skills and a sound knowledge of office

procedures/practices

· Minimum typing speed of 55-60 wpm, with accuracy

· Pre-employment background check
