Legal Services Director oversees the activities of the organization's legal department. Provides legal advice, interpretation, and guidance to senior management and officers regarding contracts, state/federal regulatory requirements, intellectual property or trademark protection, and other business matters. Being a Legal Services Director reviews all information and prepares defense for any legal actions against the organization or advises on prosecuting lawsuits on behalf of the organization. Coordinates and reviews the work of internal or external legal staff. Additionally, Legal Services Director manages staff of attorneys. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. The Legal Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Legal Services Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. We are seeking a Director of IT Services for our Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Jamestown, North Wilkesboro and Mt Airy, North Carolina locations.
Responsibilities
• Oversee IT operations and supervise systems and IT staff for a large multi- specialty medical group with multiple locations
• Develop strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems, etc.)
• Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual budget • Consult senior-level management across the Bethany Medical organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology
• Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
• Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
• Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff
• Responsible for IT systems for related companies
• As the Director of IT Services, you will be part of the Senior Management Leadership Team
Qualifications
• 10 years of experience working in IT operations, preferably medical IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
• Intricate knowledge of IT operations as it relates to the medical field is essential
• Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
• Strong people skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
• Strong knowledge of project management principles
Education
• Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field is a must
