Legal Services Director oversees the activities of the organization's legal department. Provides legal advice, interpretation, and guidance to senior management and officers regarding contracts, state/federal regulatory requirements, intellectual property or trademark protection, and other business matters. Being a Legal Services Director reviews all information and prepares defense for any legal actions against the organization or advises on prosecuting lawsuits on behalf of the organization. Coordinates and reviews the work of internal or external legal staff. Additionally, Legal Services Director manages staff of attorneys. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. The Legal Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) is seeking an applicant to work as an Administrative Assistant/Statewide Intake Specialist.
The successful applicant will assume intake responsibilities on a full-time basis 5 days per week. The Intake Paralegal will answer and return incoming calls assigned to the Intake Workgroup of persons seeking legal assistance from Georgia Legal Services Program.

Salary and Benefits: This is a 35 hour per week position with a starting pay of $30,700, some experience credit may be available.
The program provides generous fringe benefits, including paid holidays, paid time off including parental leave; birthday holiday; health, life, and long and short-term disability insurance; tuition reimbursement up to $2500 per year; 403B with 3% match; GLSP offers a hybrid work schedule that allows staff to work up to 2 days remotely subject to management approval and a probationary employment period.
