Legal Services Director oversees the activities of the organization's legal department. Provides legal advice, interpretation, and guidance to senior management and officers regarding contracts, state/federal regulatory requirements, intellectual property or trademark protection, and other business matters. Being a Legal Services Director reviews all information and prepares defense for any legal actions against the organization or advises on prosecuting lawsuits on behalf of the organization. Coordinates and reviews the work of internal or external legal staff. Additionally, Legal Services Director manages staff of attorneys. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. The Legal Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. The Director of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the law firm with seven offices across 16 counties. The primary duties will include working in the areas of building operations, staff office environments, and program technology needs. This includes the implementation of technology advancements to better service clients and communities, coordinating with vendors on projects including building renovations, and managing a small vehicle fleet with mobile office units. The Director of Operations oversees the work of our outsourced IT vendor, supervises additional staff members in the Operations department, and reports directly to the Executive Director.
Applicants should have a minimum of five years of administrative experience implementing programs, supervising employees, participating in budget preparation/oversight, supporting physical plant operations, and/or coordinating technology. Candidates must have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a high level of comfort with technology, project management, and working with diverse individuals. Ideal candidates will have experience working with RFPs, communicating with vendors, and reviewing/negotiating contracts, plus a history of community engagement and/or volunteering.
