Consumer Lending Sales Manager

    Hours: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with additional hours as needed.

    Summary:

    SUMMARY: The Consumer Lending Sales Manager is responsible for the development, communication and coaching of the local bank’s Consumer (may also include Small Business) Lending performance and sales activities, including CFB sessions for local branches and assisting new associates with lending skills. The incumbent will lead the achievement of the local market sales goals, including the consumer direct referral program. The Consumer Lending Sales Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for construction loans and is expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations and loan policy, products and services.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Define, communicate, monitor and coach sales and performance expectations for Consumer Lending. This includes leading by example while managing and directing a sales and service culture across the market.
    • Formulate and implement business plans, including lead generation and consumer direct partnerships, to assure attainment of budgeted bank consumer lending goals.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for the consumer lending team on construction lending questions and/or issues that arise.
    • Provide consumer lending product and sales training to frontline associates.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the areas of regulations/compliance, loan products/services, systems/technologies and bank structure/organization.
    • Represent the company in various civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business.
    • May generate and underwrite commercial loans according to loan policy guidelines.
    • May be responsible for the approval of consumer loan exceptions made within their local bank/region and monitoring of those exceptions for reporting purposes.
    • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

    TEAM ACCOUNTABILITIES :

    • Assist in creating value for all Arvest customers through needs based selling
    • Support and uphold the Arvest Mission Statement.
    • Uphold the Arvest Code of Ethics and ensure that confidential information is safeguarded.
    • Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
    • Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation.
    • Maintain involvement in community affairs to foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    May directly supervise 1 or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience in a retail banking environment required.
    • 4 years’ previous lending experience required.
    • 2 years previous sales experience required.
    • Completion of CFB 4 or ability to obtain required.
    • Current NMLS Safe Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
