Position Overview:
This position supports product development, implementation, and marketing efforts for financial product and service sales within New Markets. The incumbent is primarily dedicated to supporting the efforts of the GroundBreakers program for Young, Beginning, and Small (YBS) farmers. Provides creative, valuable solutions to client problems and value-added services by cross-selling to existing and prospective clients.
This hybrid position (50% in-office) is open to any Compeer Financial office location in Illinois, Minnesota, or Wisconsin.
Essential Functions:
Provides support for YBS efforts.
Assists with communication efforts for all New Markets programs.
Provides support for environmental, soc ial, and corporate governance (ESG) efforts including participating in work groups and maintaining meeting minutes, documentation and logistics
Provide project management support for all programs under New Markets.
Develops, implements, and maintains the appropriate systems and structures to support a relationship selling culture including process documentation and program materials etc.
Assists in the development of products and services for Young, Beginning, Small farmers, as well as monitory and veteran lending programs.
Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, agribusiness or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or data analytics.
Knowledge of federal and state (I llinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
High level of integrity.
Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
Ability to remain objective in balancing business needs and risk.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
Solid understanding of federal, state and local governmental programs regarding energy, sustainability, carbon, c limate change, food and renewable energy.
Solid understanding of financial markets, complex lending transactions, and strategic selling skills.
Prior experience writing Standard Operating Procedures and policy.
Valid driver’s license.
