    Position Summary: Responsible for operating assigned machining and brazing equipment in supporting the manufacturing needs of the company. This includes preventative maintenance and machine changeovers.     (2nd Shift hours are M-F, 3 pm to 11 pm.)

    Essential Job Duties:
    • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
    • Programs CNC equipment by CAM and G-code, and entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
    • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
    • Maintains specifications by observing and taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
    • Will learn to set up and operate resistance welders.
    • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
    • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
    • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
    Qualifications/Requirements:
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Should be proficient with CNC controls and manually operated milling equipment.
    • Proficient in programming in CAD/CAM software
    • Must possess strong knowledge of machines and tools with regard to safety, use and repair.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a team
    • Ability to use measuring equipment.
    • Ability to operate machinery.
    • 1-3 years of similar experience preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Physical Requirements/Safety:
    • Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
    • Wear PPE as required
    • Ability to stand for long periods, frequent bending and reaching.
    • Ability to tolerate high temperatures in the work environment.
