Mold Set Up Technician

Shift: 2nd & 3rd shift

Pay: $18.25-$27.55/hour

Location: Battle Creek, MI

Job Description:

• Change injection machine die molds, robotic tooling, injection machine programs, and robotic programs with a limited amount of machine downtime.
• Complete Standard Condition Sheets and setup verifications to ensure machine change overs are completed per established standards.
• Preferred knowledge of Meiki, JSW, Ube, Van Dorn, Cincinnati, and/or Engel molding machines in the range of 180 to 1600 ton
• Understanding of three and sixaxis robotic programming such that positions can be modified as required. Preferred knowledge of Yushin and Start Robots.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings. These include but are not limited to: electrical prints, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem solving for any production related problems (machine breakdowns, scheduling problems, etc).
• Turn valves and dials of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, speed and feed rates, and to set cycle times.
• Performs other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of immediate supervisor.

Required Experience:

• 2 years of previous Molding Technician experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Have specific vision abilities related to depth perception and color vision
• Comfortable working in a factory environment with moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels
• Position may require overtime to support manufacturing processes
