As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various organizational needs, public grants, and event initiatives aimed at advancing the mission and strategic objectives of our library district.

The Community Engagement Specialist supports strategic and community relations initiatives, programs, and activities, including opportunities to share library information through strategic, stakeholder, community, and partnership engagement events. Additionally, this role provides technical-level support on grant and engagement functions for the organization and its working groups. This specialized work will serve within the Strategic Services Department to support strategic grant, government, and community partnerships. The position works 15 hours a week, to be determined between manager and the successful candidate.
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by AFSCME Council 2.

Incumbents may travel to various sites in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions. To accomplish this travel, the incumbent must be able to drive and hold a valid Washington State driver's license or to make independent arrangements for such transportation.
