Role Overview
The Library Aide position is the customer facing public representation of the library. They interact with the public to check out materials, place holds and requests, answer questions, locate materials, recommend materials, assist with the use of the library’s technology, collect payments, and update accounts. They also maintain the library’s collections by shelving, shelf reading, shifting, displaying, shelf processing and repairing materials. Library Aides also notify customers about their requests and late items. This position reports to the Branch Manager or Library Director.
**This position is located at the Orange Library in Orange, VA and will include daytime, evening and weekend shifts**
