Requires master's of library and information science from an ALA-accredited school. Additionally, Library Services Director typically reports to top management. The Board of Directors of the Friends of the Commerce Public Library invites applications for the library director position to plan, manage, direct, implement, promote and oversee the activities and operations of the Commerce Public Library. The Commerce Public Library is a newly renovated, historic facility located in a rural college town within a diverse community less than an hour from the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years of library work experience or comparable institutional, educational, or non-profit experience. Ideal start date is May 1, 2024.
