Library Services Manager manages the daily planning, staff, and operations for the acquisition, classification, maintenance, licensing, and distribution of print and digital materials to meet the information needs of library users. Coordinates process to research, review, identify and procure new materials to develop the library's collection. Being a Library Services Manager performs cataloging and creates bibliographies and metadata to classify the library's collection of books, serial publications, documents, audiovisual, and other materials. Develops and oversees support, service, and technology resources to ensure that groups and individuals can access requested materials. Additionally, Library Services Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Library Services Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Library Services Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     As Refugee and Immigrant Case Manager, you will be primarily responsible for helping children and families with the reunification process by conducting culturally sensitive home studies, assessments, referrals and case management services.

    This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate comprehensive case management services;
    • Maintain a caseload in compliance with contract terms and agency expectations;
    • Maintain a home study caseload in compliance with contract terms and agency expectations;
    • Assess potential placements for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC), to include but not limited to interviews and home study investigations;
    • Perform home study assessments to include calls, interviews, home visits, and accompaniment to community resources, as needed;
    • Complete and document all required reports, case notes, and case contacts in the appropriate database in accordance with the expected timeframes and requirements;
    • Provide psycho-educational information, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to children and families;
    • Assess the safety and appropriateness of the placement on an ongoing basis using child welfare principles and social work best practices;
    • Serve clients within the entire state of their respective branch as assigned;
    • Attend weekly meetings with supervisor to consult on cases, and to review case plan and direction;
    • Keep abreast of community resources and refer families for support, as needed;
    • Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services;
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s level degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a Social Services field from an accredited college;
    • Must be at least 21 years of age;
    • At least one (1) year of prior case management experience in child and family services;
    • Must have a broad knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodology of social work as acquired through a Bachelor’s level degree; •Bi-lingual English and Spanish, strongly preferred;
    • Previous experience conducting home studies, strongly preferred;
    • Demonstrated ability to service a difference group of clients, to include refugees or other minority families;
    • Mature and stable judgment as well as sensitivity to various cultures and the unique history of refugees;
    • Knowledge of state, community and agency resources for victims of abuse;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills;
    • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality;
    • Adheres to all agency and departmental safety procedures including reporting any unsafe practices, equipment and environment, and takes an active role in correcting the unsafe practice, equipment or environment through proper notification channels;
    • Must be able to pass required medical examinations and have the physical ability to fulfill the essential job functions, including physical restraints of a resident;
    • Successfully pass an annual TB test and document preference to receive or decline Hepatitis immunization;
    • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions;
    • Active motor vehicle license and maintain a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance coverage;
    • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
    • If direct contact with clients, proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases, including COVID is required;
