What's involved in this role:

We are looking for a Director Whey Technical Services in Jerome, ID.

• Manage direct reports, including hiring, providing annual reviews, training opportunities, project management, experimental design, coaching, plant trials, effectiveness of communication, collaboration and outlining succession management activities as needed.
• Record, collate, evaluate, and interpret operational data to make appropriate recommendations and optimizations.
• Serve as project leader for initiatives focused on process optimization, ingredient development, quality improvement, sustainability, etc.; lead meetings that result in clear plans and actions.
• Accomplish objectives by troubleshooting concerns, utilizing lean manufacturing techniques, planning, evaluating, and tracking activities.
• Track and measure progress by routinely communicating activities, objectives, and goals.
• Achieve operational objectives by building strategic plans and reviews.
• Examine product samples and review finished product data.

What you need to join our team:

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Business, Operations Management, or any other related field preferred.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a dairy and/or food production plant required.
• Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Where you'll be working:

Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to about 400 employees and processes about 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, monterey jack, muenster, mozzarella and provolone. It also runs various whey streams, such as deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized and our top-rated BiPro products.
