Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical social work services to patients and their families. Counsels and provides crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker coaches patients on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provides therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes. Requires a master's degree in social work. Additionally, Licensed Clinical Social Worker requires Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Requires the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Qualifications
- Degree/Education - Masters Degree in social work (MSW). Graduate from a school of Social Work fully accredited by the council of social Work education (CSWE)
- Experience - Must have at least 24 months of experience in the last 36 with assessing and providing evidence based individual counseling to patients within a mental health or health care facility.
- License - Maintain a current, unrestricted clinical license to practice social work in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS)
