Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical social work services to patients and their families. Counsels and provides crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker coaches patients on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provides therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes. Requires a master's degree in social work. Additionally, Licensed Clinical Social Worker requires Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Requires the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.       • As a substance abuse counselor you must be able to act as a support system for people with drug and alcohol/mental health disorders and their behavioral health issues. Job duties include but are not limited to teaching individuals how to modify behaviors assessments including intake, identifying issues and creating goals and individualized Treatment Plans., assisting with case management, leading group therapy sessions, providing outreach and progress reports to referring agencies, referring patients to support groups, setting up an after care plan, knowledge of ASAM criteria and NJSAMS, obtain authorizations from Medicaid, insurances and other referral sources. Case load can include PH, IOP and OP levels of care.
    • Educational Skills Required (Degree(s), Certification(s), License, etc.)
      • Masters degree in Social Work and NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker. All new hires who are in recovery must attest to having one year of sobriety and abstinence. In addition, all new hires are required to sign an Affidavit of Recovery. Must comply with TRMC paid state-level criminal history record background check supported by fingerprint check prior to hire.

      • Two years experience as a LCSW preferred.
