Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant assists one or more physical therapists in evaluations, tests, and treatments of patients. Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment to the physical therapist. Requires an associate degree. Additionally, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant requires State physical therapist assistant license. Typically reports to a physical therapist. Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. We are looking for a highly motivated team member that is comfortable working with patients of all ages and demographics. The PTA will work under the supervision of the physical therapist and administer prescribed treatment plans but should also be comfortable working independently.
New grads welcome.
Qualifications:
Current CPR Certification
Washington State PTA License
Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from an Accredited School/ProgramEssential Duties:
Assists in the update of therapeutic plans of care and treatment based on patient needs throughout patient's treatment/stay under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.Assists in the implementation of therapeutic plans of care and treatment based on patient needs throughout patient's treatment/stay under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assists in the completion of all required documentation, in an accurate and thorough manner, of Physical Therapy treatment in accordance with documentation standard under the supervision a licensed Physical Therapist.
Adheres to Pacific Physical Therapy's Core Values of Integrity, Compassion and Excellence.
Performs related duties as required.
