Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant assists one or more physical therapists in evaluations, tests, and treatments of patients. Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment to the physical therapist. Requires an associate degree. Additionally, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant requires State physical therapist assistant license. Typically reports to a physical therapist. Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. We are seeking a California-licensed Physcial Therapist Assistant with experience to join our team! As an Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be working closely with Physical Therapists as well as other Assistants to provide therapy and support for our patients. The ideal candidate has strong time management skills, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of physical therapy guidelines and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your care
- Assist patients with exercise
- Assist Physical Therapists with communication, and care coordination as needed
- Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis
- Attend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes
- California-licensed Physical therapist Assistant required
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Familiarity with EMR Software for Physical Therapy preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills
- The ability to make decisions in a high-energy environment
