Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant assists one or more physical therapists in evaluations, tests, and treatments of patients. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment to the physical therapist. Requires an associate degree. Overview:
Schuylerville Physical Therapy, PC is looking for a NYS licensed physical therapist to join our team. Schuylerville PT has been serving clients from Saratoga and Washington counties for 11 years. We are an outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinic that is growing and needs a licensed PT. The applying therapist must have the skills to evaluate and treat various orthopedic diagnoses. Carry out and progress treatment programs from initial evaluation to discharge. Have strong communication skills to work with patients of all ages, clinical staff, and local physicians. We are a fun clinic, with lots of energy and take great pride in the care we give to our patients.
32 hours minimum per week with potential to go to 40 hours.
Per Diem coverage/hours also available based on therapist vacation time.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical history and physical condition
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs and goals
- Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve mobility, strength, and range of motion
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid New York State license as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per hour
